[…] We used SPSS version 23.0 for all statistical analyses. All results were reported as mean ± standard deviation (SD). Parametric statistics were used for all comparisons because most variables were normally distributed. Patients were compared to controls using an independent samples t-test for equality of means, and they were compared before and after omega-3 fatty acid supplementation using a paired samples t-test for equality of means.
