[…] The genotype frequencies of each SNP in the control subjects were checked using the Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (HWE). Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 16.0 statistical package (SPSS, Chicago, IL) and Microsoft Excel (Chicago, IL). The significance of the difference of alleles and genotype frequencies between the groups was tested using the chi-square method.[]P < 0.05 was considered to represent statistical significance. Differences in the distribution were analyzed using logistic regression.
