Microglial transcriptomes from the forebrain were generated using RNAseq using an Illumina HiSeq 4000 were done for N=3-5 animals per condition in the context of aging, amyloidosis, tauopathy, and systemic inflammation (i.e. LPS or Poly(I:C) stimulation) in RiboTag mice. In addition, a cellular isolation procedure using enzymatic digestion and cell sorting was also used to compare this protocol versus RiboTag isolation during basal conditions and LPS induced inflammation.
