To investigate the impact of of co-cultivation with S. cerevisiae on L. bulgaricus, a DNA microarray-based transcriptome analysis of L. bulgaricus response was performed on anaerobic, lactose-limited chemostat cultures grown in the presence and absence of S. cerevisae.
