[…] TERT and nestin mRNA levels were quantified by densitometric measurement, and were expressed as a ratio of cyclophilin-A mRNA expression (Molecular Analyst for Windows, BioRad). For TRAP assays, Sybr-Green fluorescence intensities were plotted against cycle number, and cycle threshold (ct) determined. Neurosphere number and size were computed using a Java version of NIH image (ImageJ, V1.32j (NIH)). Data were analyzed using a standard statistical package, SPSS for Windows (Version 11). Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the Fischer's Least Significant Difference post-hoc test were used to identify statistically significant differences between groups.
