[…] Statistical analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows version 21.0 (IBMCorp, Armonk, NY, USA). Frequencies were presented as percentages (%) and continuous variables were presented as mean ± standard deviation for normally distributed, and mean ± standard error for non-normally distributed variables. All non-normal variables were log-transformed prior to analysis. A general linear model was used (repeated measures) to compare differences in mean values according to follow-up visits and using season as a covariate. Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used to determine associations between 25-OH-D and the different variables.
