I am the Executive Director of Addgene. Note that Addgene is more than a database--Addgene is a repository. We receive, curate, and distribute plasmids made in labs around the world. The we distributed these 40,000 unique items to 78 countries (>100,000 distributions a year). Our website has plasmid data and rich molecular biology resources.
