Computational protocol: Structural basis for translation termination by archaeal RF1 and GTP-bound EF1α complex

[…] Diffraction data were collected at beamline BL32XU at SPring-8 (Harima, Japan), and were processed with the program HKL2000 (HKL Research). The data collection statistics are summarized in Supplementary Table S1. Phases were obtained by molecular replacement with the program MOLREP (), using the structure of the isolated form of aRF1 () and that of aEF1α in the aPelota·aEF1α complex structure () as search models. The crystallographic asymmetric unit contains one complex of aRF1·aEF1α. The atomic model was manually built using the program COOT (), and iterated cycles of refinement with PHENIX () and manual rebuilding with COOT were performed at 2.3 Å resolution.
