[…] Continuous data were reported as mean ± SD and were analyzed using Student's t‐test. The categorical data were presented as proportion percentages and were analyzed using Pearson's chi‐square test or Fisher's exact test. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan–Meier method to assess survival time distribution and using the log‐rank test where indicated. Univariate and multivariate analyses with the Cox proportional hazard model were adopted to clarify the independent prognostic factors. Variables with P < 0.10 in the univariate analysis were subsequently included in a multivariate Cox regression model. Overall, a P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
