[…] The R416A mutant protein was crystallized by vapor diffusion using the sitting drop method. The crystals were obtained in 0.1 M Hepes pH 7.5, 1.2 M potassium sodium tartrate with a protein concentration of about 10 mg/ml. Data were collected at the ESRF (beamline ID14-4) and processed with the XDS package , . The structure was solved by molecular replacement using the wild-type H1N1 nucleoprotein structure (PDB ID code 2IQH) as a model. Model building and refinement were performed using CCP4i suite program for crystallography (MOLREP, REFMAC, COOT) .
