A tool which enables image-based classification of maturation of human stem cell-derived retinal pigmented epithelium (RPE). Texture descriptors ensembles are able to classify the RPE cell maturation stage. Moreover, we proved that preprocessing and region-based decomposition improves many descriptors’ accuracy in biological dataset classification. Finally, we built the first public dataset of stem cell-derived RPE cells, which is publicly available to the scientific community for classification studies.
Serves as a cell analysis tool package. DucoCell allows users to count cells and evaluate images for morphological parameters of cells such as area, perimeter, diameter, ellipticity or form-factor. The software permits simultaneous and automatic analysis of multiple images, and then export results and create a result graph. It also provides a capture feature that enables users to collect single-frame images and time-lapse experiments.
Allows classification of HEp-2 cell images. RSurf is a texture-based image descriptor that computes the properties, such as height and length, of each slope (i.e. a 1D sequence of neighboring pixels, following the straight line, where pixel intensities change monotonously) in the 2D image and derives statistics of them. It includes a sample image allowing to test the software.
