Provides a method for cross-species meta-analysis of gene expression. Xspecies takes the homology structure between compared species into account and can therefore compare expression data from genes with any number of orthologs and paralogs. This method was used to identify evolutionarily conserved transcriptional responses in microarray data from heat stress experiment performed in eight diverse species.
Allows investigation of RNA-seq data arising from multiple, related studies. metaRNASeq is based on p-value combination methods. It aims to overcome differences in experimental objectives, design, and populations of interest, as well as differences in sequencing technology, library preparation, and laboratory-specific effects. This tool may be extended to CHIP-seq or methyl-seq data. It can study related heterogeneous data such as genomic data.
Provides meta-analysis of RNA-Seq count data in multiple studies. metaSeq is a Bioconductor package that offers options to: (i) accelerate NOISeq function, (ii) access multiple RNA-Seq count data designed as Breast Cancer cell lines vs Normal cells or (iii) combine multiple p-values with Fisher’s method. It also delivers function in NOISeq package customized for one-sided test in meta-analysis.
