Disseminating Metaproteomic Informatics Capabilities and Knowledge Using the Galaxy P Framework

2018
Proteomes
PMCID: 5874766
PMID: 29385081
DOI: 10.3390/proteomes6010007

[…] nalysis [].During the metaproteomics contribution-fest, a number of new tools and extensions to new tools were considered for deployment in Galaxy. For example, taxonomy classification tools from the MetaProteomeAnalyzer [] were considered, which process peptides identified via multiple database searching engines using information from the UniProt and National Center for Biotechnology Information […]

MetaGOmics: A Web Based Tool for Peptide Centric Functional and Taxonomic Analysis of Metaproteomics Data

2017
Proteomes
PMCID: 5874761
PMID: 29280960
DOI: 10.3390/proteomes6010002

[…] ualization tools for MEGAN rely on RefSeq (NCBI) annotations and were designed for metagenomics data and utilizes full sequence information, such as an assembled gene or gene product (i.e., protein). MetaProteomeAnalyzer (MPA) [] is a complete metaproteomics pipeline spanning initial database search through final visualization. To deal with the issues associated with protein inference-based analys […]

Assessing species biomass contributions in microbial communities via metaproteomics

2017

[…] t should make it possible to transfer the approach to many other platforms, including some recently developed software pipelines addressing the protein inference problem in metaproteomics such as The MetaProteomeAnalyzer and Prophane. In this manuscript, we highlight the most crucial considerations for developing concrete methods for metaproteomics-based biomass assessment (e.g., protein inference […]

[…] articularly useful to reduce sample complexity and improve protein identification. The final and fairly demanding stage for metaproteomics is data analysis. Several software tools such as Pipasic [], MetaProteomeAnalyzer [] and Unipept [] have been developed to facilitate metaproteomic data analysis. One of the key elements for a successful metaproteomic study is the availability of a relevant dat […]

Hi there,
The download for the portable version does not include the viewer. So, i downloaded both separately. However, the viewer will allow the import of only mpa files while the portable version 1.0.5 only allows the importation of mgf and dat files.
Is it possible to change mgf to mpa format??
