Provides a toolkit dedicated to the automatization of the identification of neuronal labeling. “Automatic detection of neuronal labeling in histological image series” is a module that can be used through the ImageJ software. It includes four main functionalities for: (i) detecting labeling in series of microscopic images; (ii) selecting of regions of interest (ROIs); (iii) noise filtering; (iv) measuring of labeled area and centroid position in large series of images.
A freely available open-source tool for the automated analysis and effective review of large-scale high-content screens. NeuriteQuant enables fully automated morphological analysis of large-scale image data from neuronal cultures or brain sections that display a high degree of complexity and overlap of neuronal outgrowths. It also provides an efficient web-based tool to review and evaluate the analysis process. In addition to its built-in functionality, NeuriteQuant can be readily extended based on the rich toolset offered by ImageJ and its associated community of developers. It is especially well suited to quantify the effect of experimental manipulations on physiologically relevant neuronal cultures or brain sections that display a high degree of complexity and overlap among neurites or other cellular structures.
A tool for creating and analyzing realistic, meaningful, and quantifiable neuron reconstructions from microscope images. Perform detailed morphometric analysis of neurons, such as quantifying: 1) the number of dendrites, axons, nodes, synapses, and spines, 2) the length, width, and volume of dendrites and axons, 3) the area and volume of the soma and 4) the complexity and extension of neurons.
