Compares a protein sequence to a SwissProt/TREMBL database using BLAST2. PhyloBLAST then allows phylogenetic analyses to be performed on selected sequences from the BLAST output. It contains a number of features useful for studying evolutionary relationships of proteins. The tool is suitable for those who wish to have the convenience of access to selected PHYLIP programs in a web-based format that links the programs together, and incorporates BLAST analysis with fully functional PHYLIP programs.
