I Miss. Geetanjali Thorat, completed my Masters in Bioinformatics at Guru Nanak Khalsa College under Mumbai University. I have done my Bachelors in Bioinformatics from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, India. I have basic hands-on experience in Bioinformatics & Computational biology and Computational Molecular Genetics. I have completed my M.Sc. dissertation work on “In Silico Drug Docking and Library Generation of Aromatase Inhibitors for Human Placental Aromatase as Treatment of Estrogen Dependent Breast Cancer”. I have submitted this for M.Sc. degree to the Mumbai University. This was done under supervision of my college teachers. In addition to this I am also working on a project titled "Conserved gene organization in radio-resistant bacteria: A comparative genomic study" at the Indian Women Scientists’ Association computer centre, in consultation with Dr. Rita Mukhopadhyaya, of The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre , India's premier nuclear research facility headquartered in Trombay, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
My personal interest is in research field and my aim is to be the research scientist. My moto is to gain the latest knowledge in the recent developments in scientific research as well as technology. I am interested in such invention which will provide the healthy life to all human beings.
Training involved the handling of FT-NIR along with standardizing methods for quantitative analysis for Fermentation such as Biomass, Glucose, and Media components concentration and plant project in the “Development of Bioinformatics Tools for Bio Therapeutics”.
