Permits to quantitatively assess to fibrous structures in 2D single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) datasets. Angular-Ripleys-K describes fiber spatial arrangements and shows how these descriptions can be quantitatively derived from pointillist datasets. It can discriminate between perpendicular, non-perpendicular and randomly orientated fibers. The tool is able to determine the interfiber spacing despite the presence of localization uncertainty and background signal originating from non-fiber associated points.
Infers the preferred orientation of structures present in an input image. Directionality is a plugin for the image analysis software ImageJ. It computes a histogram indicating the amount of structures in a given direction. The interface allows to specify: (i) the number of bins, (ii) the starting angle for analysis, (iii) the debug flag, (iv) the result table flag and (v) the orientation map flag.
