Supplies access to expressed sequence tag (EST). The Diatom EST database contains over 130 000 Phaeodactylum tricornutum ESTs from about 16 cDNA libraries and 77 000 Thalassiosira pseudonana ESTs from five libraries. It assists users in detecting differentially expressed genes under different conditions, and allows similarities in gene expression in different libraries to be investigated in a functional context.
