I am a researcher interested in reproductive and developmental biology with a keen interest in the epigenetic mechanisms that regulate gametogenesis and early embryo development. I have worked with bovine and porcine models but I would work with any other model that could help me further explore the mysteries of gamete interaction and embryonic development. Research is my passion, but I do enjoy teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
Juliano has master degree in Genetics, PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and posdoctoral in Analytical Chemistry. Nowadays, he works at Business Development Department of Libbs as External R&D Scientific Lead. Juliano is the person in charge of technology transfer of biotherapeutic production process from external partners to Libbs and from Libbs to Governmental Institutes in PDPs projects as well. His main goal is to guarantee the development of Libbs’ portfolio of biotherapeutic products with high quality, safety and efficacy, in conformity with Brazilian regulatory requirements.
Juliano has 11 years of experience in scientific research investigating the molecular basis of gene expression control mechanisms and functional genomics using approaches such as metabolomics, proteomics and systems biology. Juliano worked in prominent research centers such as USP, San Pablo-CEU, UFMG and Fiocruz. In 2016 Juliano was co-founder of Pharmasymile, an startup dedicated to express proteins with complex folding and glycosylation pattern using protozoan system and insect cells as expression systems. Juliano is advisor of FAPESP, Foncyt and Biominas for innovation projects.
